If people are that concerned about the climate then we need to abolish the following: ALL concerts. ALL TV production. ALL film production. ALL private planes. ALL private yachts. ALL space tourism. ...and that's just a start. I'd like to see a total ban on the things that prop up celebrity lifestyles giving them huge amounts of wealth while the rest of us are taxed into oblivion. Yet here we have Greenpeace getting an actor to promote a political message about the climate when his carbon footprint is significantly larger than the average UK citizen. Us normies take the hit yet you will always see the rich traveling by means that don't quite match their climate message...Leonardo DiCaprio is a great one for that. Lets face it, they want the masses to reduce their emissions while they maintain their lavish lifestyles. However this is all moot because unless you get the largest polluters to change then it really doesn't matter what the UK does given our contribution to global emissions is only 1%. If you want real change then start heavily investing in nuclear fusion technology (not fission) so we can produce reactors that provide cheap and clean energy that eventually take over from all fossil fuel production for our national grid. I'm all for clean energy but I can stand it when people put forward an idea to remove or ban something without properly considering what is needed to replace it. Whether you like it or not the global economy runs on fossil fuels (diesel to be specific) so start thinking of how that can be seamlessly replaced so we don't cause devastation to economies around the world resulting in millions dying. eFuels might be a good short to mid term solution but climate talk is cheap unless you're offering realistic or viable solutions and not just fear-mongering like so many people do. It's not very constructive. Oh and just as a side note, exporting our waste to foreign countries who don't dispose of it properly is not reducing our emissions either.

Because of FPTP - vote NOT Conservative who will destroy the environment like they have already shown they will do Labour or Lib Dem - whichever is best placed to get rid of the Tory - both will at minimum do better than the Tory ... Do not bother with Green - unless you already have a Green MP ... they will not win, and from current performance will not have any influence

It's been proven that fishing can be done sustainably with small scale fishing boats like these like it's been done for hundreds of years, however when the gigantic trawlers come they wipe out stocks. I remember in the south of Sweden I heard they had done a small scale fishing with over a 100 boats for over a 100 years but when the big factory trawlers arrived it only took a few years for the stocks to be depleted.

Just this once, our side was a tiny bit less psychopathic than their side and that is worth remembering. We must remember that our side regardfed Greenpeace as the Enemty (just as does our 'Government') in the same way as does Russia. It's a popular trope for the (oil funded) media to blame 'Russia' or 'China' for this nightmare when, in truth, they're all playing the same game (as Aruora and Emma say - short term profit for long term destruction) but they like to pont the blame at each other. Let's not be confused here - oil controls most governments in the world and the likes of Greenopeace are the only voices for people and planet against Corporate priofits. When Aroura happened, it was the most amazing thing to happen in London for years... but it featured on hardly ANY 'News'. I just mentioned it to a mate who said "What? When>??I've never heard of this!".. which is why I've revisited this page. The same thing happened today as the 'over 8,000-strong Restore Nature' campaign was barricaded off from the rest of the city ... and yet all the 'News' reported on a millionaire ex-commodities broker laughing at the puyblic whilst pretending to drink some beer in Clacton... AGAIN. That says it all doesn't it? Repost this and ask your fave paper or News why they've not reported the 'Restore nature' protest. Cheers chaps.

It's green only in my own mind because it's slimy! As are the people ultimately behind this lunacy. These are not real jobs because they are always subsidised. The bill payer must always pay and those who are comfortable with this need an urgent personal re think in a quiet room. I personally saw this 15 years ago in Germany and nobody believed me. Nothing more sophisticated than another spurious tax based on no credible. evidence. Wind farms are a blight on the landscape and useless. There is no such thing as "Climate cha ge" merely a changing climate. Of course we must keep the seas and rivers cleaner and stop the unnatural extinction of animals and plant life as best we can. I recently read that in moderm times, 75% of amphibians worldwide have gone extinct.
